Revolutionary Business Intelligence Solution Introduces Real Data Relevancy Through Automated Insights

Focus on Relevancy in the Consumer Marketplace is Extended for the First Time to Enterprise Applications

TORONTO (April 12, 2011) – Panorama Software, a global leader in proactive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, introduces the concept of true relevancy of data and insights through its innovative patent-pending Necto™ BI solution. A revolutionary new way to connect data, analytic insights, and individuals across a company, Panorama Necto is the world’s first socially-enabled BI platform that provides individually tailored relevant results for every user.

Panorama Necto enables relevancy in BI by using powerful algorithms that identify noteworthy data points specific to individual user tastes. In the analytics environment, this relevancy generation is automated, providing significant efficiency gains for users who do not have the time or expertise to manually perform deep data analytics.

Greater relevancy promotes a better understanding of business goals and improved collaboration between peer groups. A company’s collection of corporate intelligence can grow exponentially with Necto as workers embrace a socially driven way of managing relevant data.

Extracting the right context from user analytics is accomplished by Panorama’s unique Automated Intelligence Driving Engine (AIDEN). Relevant data produced by AIDEN is a result of the system looking carefully at the inputs and data exploration patterns of various users and producing algorithmically-chosen insights. In one click, Necto can pinpoint issues from volumes of data and then automatically identify the causes of these issues, eliminating the need for users to understand BI modeling and technology and allowing them to focus on the business goals.

The relevancy capabilities of Necto are seamlessly integrated with the social component. Necto’s interface offers a social bar through which users can search for relevant business friends based on either personal preference or relevancy criteria. Necto builds a “social graph” for users where they can see preferences and data based upon other user’s visits and other related behavior. An “interest graph” is also created, that is based on the user’s interests and feedback that indicate areas for greater review or potential problem spots. Necto produces instant results at the intersection of these two graphs, offering incomparable insights.

“The focus on the relevancy of information is a transformative force in the consumer marketplace,” said Kobi Averbuch, VP of Research & Development at Panorama Software. “Companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, Google and Amazon are all pushing for extreme relevancy in the recommendations and content that are presented to consumers. Necto marks the first time true relevancy is offered to BI in the enterprise. By automatically delivering relevant insights to the users, Necto eliminates the need of business users to understand the ‘how’ and focus on the ‘why’.”

Current Panorama NovaView BI solution users can easily migrate to the Panorama Necto platform to utilize its relevant business insights.

Panorama Necto(TM) First to Bring Social Media From the Consumer Realm Into Enterprise Business Applications

BI Revolution Marks a New Way to Interact with Data – Leveraging the Power of Many to Make Faster and Better Decisions

TORONTO (March 22, 2011) – Panorama Software, a global leader in proactive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, announced today the availability of its newest product, Panorama Necto, the industry’s first socially-enabled BI solution.

Panorama Necto is a new way to connect data, insights, and people in the organization. It enables business knowledge sharing among different users and across corporate units based on a business-oriented social platform.

Companies increasingly focus on how to enable business users to make better real-time decisions as quickly as possible. While many solutions offer collaboration on documents, they do not provide a true knowledge sharing environment that is both tied into actual analytical data and is suggestive by nature. Panorama Necto enables social interaction for any specific report, KPI, chart, all the way to a single data cell.

Panorama Necto tracks an individual user’s interests, and intelligently suggests other networked users who are pursuing similar business goals. It also indicates who the users are that are relevant to the task at hand.  As discussion between these two (or more) previously unconnected users grows, the system records and organizes their work to allow it to be retrieved in the future. The meta-data created in this process is tied to the Business Intelligence data that triggered the building of such insight, and aids workers across all levels in their decision making and planning.

Panorama Necto enables mentoring throughout the organization, with users having the ability to “subscribe” to others in order to follow the viewpoints and strategies of these selected users. Executive management that desires visibility into new business units can identify and follow the top performers to gain on-the-ground insights.

The product offers several practical applications for multiple business units. For example, improved collaboration among sales teams, including the creation of a database of business knowledge to help with sales-centric customer issues or complaints. Social BI allows executive management more advanced tools to keep them focused on core business goals, and provides insights into performance measurement and management. Ad hoc teams can use Necto to quickly form cohesive units through the sharing of multiple data sources and use of easier and more insightful collaboration tools.

“By integrating valuable social tools with our leading BI solution, we remain at the innovation forefront of our industry,” said Eynav Azarya, CEO of Panorama Software. “Necto is a huge leap forward as the first socially-enabled enterprise application. It applies the power of social media to the critical tasks of data analysis and decision making. We are bringing the social tools that are so prevalent and useful in the consumer world into a business climate. Social learning in business allows true collaboration on a different plane that is simply not possible in traditional business intelligence solutions.”

Traditional BI gives users a solution to their need to analyze information contained in multiple tools or forms. Once this issue has been solved, the real issue becomes that of knowing who are the internal and external partners with whom you can freely share information and insights, and who are your  best allies in making decisions. Necto solves the next stage of information analysis by enabling true collaboration and group insight.

Current customers of Panorama’s industry-leading NovaView BI solution can easily migrate to the Panorama Necto platform to immediately begin using its social capabilities. For more information, visit www.panorama.com.

Panorama Software, the original developers of the OLAP server that was sold to Microsoft Corp. and a global leader in business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced a strategic move to align closer to the SAP Platform. Panorama has just received certification for integration into the SAP Enterprise Portal. As a result of this certification, Panorama business intelligence applications and data are now available to users throughout the enterprise through a single sign-on capability within the SAP Enterprise Portal.

“With integration between Panorama NovaView and SAP, users of both enterprise solutions will be able to access their critical BI data from within the SAP Enterprise Portal,” said Eynav, Azarya, CEO, Panorama Software. “By partnering with SAP, we will be working with another global partner that will support Panorama’s objective to lead the next evolution in enterprise BI.”

This is only the first step in helping companies utilize Panorama’s NovaView BI solutions with SAP. Panorama is very close to moving to the next stage in its support for the SAP platform – becoming SAP NetWeaver Certified.

“Thousands of large, global companies rely on SAP solutions as the backbone of their business,” said Azarya. “By integrating Panorama NovaView with SAP, we will provide companies with enterprise business intelligence applications that are unmatched by any vendor today. For more than a decade, Panorama has been delivering enterprise BI solutions for the Microsoft platform. With our integration with SAP, we will extend our customer base and provide integrated solutions for two of the largest software companies in the world today.”
